What I do...

I am passionate about driving innovation in the construction industry through robotics and smart technology. With a background in business development and project management, I help organisations explore how automation can transform the way projects are designed, built, and delivered. My expertise lies in guiding businesses from identifying opportunities to successfully implementing new technologies. I excel at building partnerships and connecting people, ensuring projects are grounded in collaboration and shared goals. Known for my approachable style, I work closely with teams and stakeholders to ensure technology is embraced, not just adopted. My focus is on delivering practical solutions that improve efficiency, reduce costs, and help construction companies confidently step into a digitally driven future.

The Future of AI in Mobile Robots...

The future of AI in mobile robotics is highly promising, with rapid advances driving greater autonomy, efficiency, and versatility. Emerging trends include swarm robotics, where AI enables multiple robots to coordinate and scale solutions efficiently; enhanced human-robot collaboration, allowing robots to better understand human intent and provide personalized support; and edge computing, which enables real-time, low-latency decision-making for time-critical applications like autonomous vehicles. Additionally, adaptive learning will allow robots to continuously evolve in new environments. This integration represents a true revolution in robotics, creating major opportunities for organizations that invest early and lead innovation.

Cleaning Robots

Cleaning robots are increasingly being adopted across construction sites, logistics centres, and car parks, transforming the way these environments are maintained. These autonomous machines can efficiently navigate large, complex spaces, carrying out repetitive tasks such as sweeping, scrubbing, and sanitising without human intervention. On construction sites, they reduce dust and debris, improving safety and site cleanliness while freeing workers to focus on higher-value tasks. In logistics facilities and car parks, cleaning robots maintain hygiene and enhance operational efficiency by working continuously and consistently. The market is experiencing rapid growth, driven by advances in robotics, AI navigation, and battery life, which enable machines to operate in dynamic, cluttered environments. Companies are increasingly drawn to the cost savings, reliability, and data insights these robots provide, from usage tracking to predictive maintenance. As technology develops, cleaning robots are becoming more intelligent, versatile, and capable of integrating with other smart systems, making them an essential part of the modern built environment.

Cleaning robots like the PUDU MT1 are proving their value across a wide range of work environments beyond construction sites and car parks. In offices and corporate campuses, they maintain cleanliness and hygiene in high-traffic areas, helping reduce sick days and create a more pleasant workplace. In hospitals and healthcare facilities, these robots assist with regular floor sanitisation, supporting infection control while allowing staff to focus on patient care. Retail spaces, shopping centres, and airports benefit from their ability to operate continuously, keeping public areas tidy without disrupting customers. Educational institutions, from schools to universities, can deploy cleaning robots to maintain clean corridors, classrooms, and common areas efficiently. Hospitality venues, including hotels and convention centres, also gain from consistent cleaning and polished floors. With AI-driven navigation, autonomous operation, and real-time monitoring, robots like the PUDU MT1 deliver efficiency, cost savings, and reliable hygiene across diverse work environments.

Humanoid Robots in Construction: Progress, Challenges and Future Potential

Humanoid robots have progressed significantly in recent years, with advances in artificial intelligence, mobility, and fine manipulation. Companies are developing robots capable of walking, climbing stairs, and even handling tools, with the aim of creating machines suited to environments designed for humans. However, despite these achievements, humanoids are not yet a common sight on building sites. Current models remain costly, slow, and fragile compared with traditional machinery such as diggers and cranes. Construction work also involves uneven terrain, heavy lifting, and safety risks that continue to challenge the capabilities of today’s robotics. Instead, we are seeing semi-autonomous equipment and specialised robots – such as drones for surveying or robotic arms for prefabrication – being deployed more effectively. The trend suggests gradual integration: humanoids may initially assist with lighter tasks such as carrying tools or supporting workers. As hardware resilience and AI adaptability improve, humanoids could eventually complement, rather than replace, skilled human labour on construction sites.

Experience in Construction Robotics

Over the past five years, I have been deeply involved in the rapidly evolving field of construction site robotics, working extensively across both EMEA and the United States. During this time, I’ve collaborated with multiple robotic technology manufacturers to help bring innovative solutions to the forefront of the construction industry.
My work has focused on building and nurturing strategic relationships with key departments within leading construction firms. These partnerships have enabled smoother integration of robotic systems, facilitated collaborative development efforts, and supported on-site testing and enhancement of robotic functionalities. As a result, I have successfully secured funding and executive buy-in to further expand and tailor robotic capabilities to meet the specific needs of individual organizations.
In addition to my technical and strategic contributions, I’ve played a pivotal role in establishing project-based business opportunities, setting up efficient distribution channels, and leading complex contract negotiations. My holistic approach—combining industry insight, technological know-how, and commercial acumen—has consistently delivered tangible value and positioned robotic technologies as essential tools in modern construction operations.

Notable collaborations include major infrastructure projects such as HS2 (UK), as well as engagements with prominent industry players including Skanska (USA), BCL (Switzerland), Ferrovial (Spain and USA), and Bouygues (France). These partnerships not only advanced robotic integration in construction workflows but also demonstrated the real potential of automation in large-scale civil engineering environments.
